The Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center got a big delivery Saturday, one that took a crane to unload: a 35-ton proton beam therapy system that will offer a new option for cancer treatment in Nebraska and the surrounding region.

A crane lowers a 35-ton proton beam therapy system outside the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center on the University of Nebraska Medical Center campus on Saturday. The device will bring another option for cancer treatment to Nebraska and other nearby states that currently don't have it.
