Here they came, 500 strong, students and teachers, parading through the Benson business district in 20-degree weather, wearing aprons and overalls and carrying their books and school supplies.
Benson High School has been at 52nd and Maple Streets since the 1926-27 school year.

Benson High's construction in 1926 included an excavation for a swimming pool, which never was built. It was covered over and the space given to various uses, such as lockers and a gym floor.
Benson High had the first on-campus stadium (1936) in the Omaha Public Schools.
