LEXINGTON — The Dawson County Fair will host its first-ever Dawson County Livestock Premium Auction on Saturday, July 18, providing community members and businesses with a new opportunity to support local 4-H and FFA youth.
The Dawson County Livestock Premium Auction will be held at Stephens Arena at the Dawson County Fairgrounds.
Bidder registration begins at 4 p.m., with the auction starting at 5 p.m.
The premium-only auction was created to recognize the hard work, dedication and financial investment exhibitors make throughout the year as they raise and care for their livestock projects.
The auction allows supporters to reward youth for their efforts while helping offset project expenses and encouraging continued participation in the livestock projects.
Organizers hope the auction will strengthen support for local youth, promote leadership and life skills developed through 4-H and FFA projects, and provide an opportunity for the community to invest in the next generation of agricultural leaders.
