The Cozad Haymaker Band and the Lexington Minutemen Marching Band will be participating in the 41st Annual Nebraska State Bandmasters Association (NSBA) Marching Band Contest this Saturday, Oct. 26 at Kearney High School.
Cozad aims to make history in Kearney again after earning their first-ever superior rating at state marching band from last year's competition under band director DeVere Larington.
Cozad’s startime on Saturday is at 3:30 p.m.
For Lexington, this will be the 34th appearance of the marching band at the NSBA Marching Band Contest. There are 221 members in the Lexington High School Marching Band.
The Pride of the Minutemen Marching Band is under the direction of Sarah Ernst, Spencer Hansen and Chad Scharff. Staff members include Melissa Welch, Art Banderas and Steph Ringenberg.

Lexington’s startime on Saturday is at 7 p.m., with the awards ceremony for each school taking place at 9:30 p.m.
Admission prices to the largest marching contest in the state is $11.63 for adults and $8.48 for students.
