No. 34 Cortez Mills Jr.
6-0, 185, sophomore, receiver
In a limited role as a freshman, Mills flashed the speed and athleticism that made him a four-star prospect out of high school. He appeared in every game and caught nine passes for 147 yards and a touchdown.
The score was a bomb from TJ Lateef in the second half against Houston Christian. Mills turned around a cornerback while getting himself wide open for a 62-yard strike from Lateef.
As a sophomore, Mills will be in position to take a step forward. His tools were evident as a freshman, and he’ll enter the season with a full non-redshirt season under his belt. Nebraska has been seeking deep threats for years. Mills has the skill set to be one.
