A U-Haul truck crashed into and knocked down a building wall along Northwest Radial Highway in Omaha’s Benson neighborhood Wednesday morning.

The crash happened near the 58th Street intersection around 9:05 a.m., according to Douglas County 911 dispatch notes shared by an Omaha Police Department spokesperson. The notes said the U-Haul struck the building at 5723 Northwest Radial Highway.
That address matches the location of Eyebrow Microblading Specialists. The microblading business shares the building with the former Benson Shoe Repair shop.
The crash knocked down a wall facing the highway. Dispatch notes show the U-Haul driver may have had a seizure at the time of the crash. The extent of the driver’s injuries were not known Wednesday afternoon.
Three other vehicles were also involved in the crash, according to the police spokesperson. It's not clear how those vehicles were involved.

Shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday, police were called to the shoe repair business after a vehicle hit the building. A man who spoke with police told an officer he was traveling east along Maple Street and approached Northwest Radial Highway.
As the man approached the highway, according to a crash report filed by the police officer, he accidentally accelerated and hit the center median. The man told the officer he then overcorrected, jumping the curb and hitting the building. A witness corroborated the man’s account to police.
The building sustained an estimated $20,000 in damage. The man who hit the former shoe shop was cited for failing to maintain his lane and colliding with a fixed object.
