Glasses giant Warby Parker is opening a location at SouthPointe Pavilions in Lincoln, next to Sephora, in 2027.
The chain, which sells eyeglasses, sunglasses and contact lenses, as well as offering eye exams, has 366 nationwide locations, including one in Omaha.
Warby Parker made its name by offereing designer-quality glasses at low prices.
Their first location opened in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood in 2013, and retail stores accounted for more than two-thirds of their revenue in 2023.
Warby Parker was founded by University of Pennsylvania students Dave Gilboa, Neil Blumenthal, Andy Hunt and Jeff Raider in 2010, after Gilboa lost a $700 pair of glasses on a backpacking trip. By 2025 the company brought in $871.9 million, and their current market cap is over $3.5 billion, more than double 2023.
