NEBRASKA CITY — The tidy brick building just off this city’s main street looks no different from scores of schools and churches built around the turn of the last century.
During the late 1800s and early 1900s, the Grand Army of the Republic donated stained-glass windows commemorating the war to churches across the country. This one, from a former church in Sutton, Nebraska, was donated to the Civil War Museum a few years ago, said Tim Engler, museum director.
