On August 4, 2026, the Sarpy County Reentry Court celebrated a graduation ceremony at the Sarpy County Courthouse in Papillion, with Judge Stefanie Martinez presiding over the event. Also present for the graduation were Dylan Folchert from the Sarpy County Attorney's Office and Todd West from the Sarpy County Public Defender's Office.
This ceremony marked the completion of an intensive program of comprehensive drug treatment, intensive community supervision and full accountability for the Reentry Court graduates. The event honored the graduates through this demonstration of achievement.
In line with other Nebraska Problem-Solving Courts, the Sarpy County Reentry Court employs a collaborative team approach. This team consists of a judge, prosecutor, defense counsel, community supervision officer, law enforcement and treatment provider, all working together to create a tailored program for each participant. Adherence to treatment and court orders is closely monitored through frequent alcohol and drug testing, intensive community supervision and non-adversarial court review hearings with the judge. Additionally, Problem-Solving Courts enhance oversight of participants through home and field visits.
