A record number of Americans are expected to travel over the Memorial Day weekend, but the increase in travelers from 2025 is one of the lowest in years amid rising fuel costs.
Cars make their way out of Lincoln on Interstate 180 on May 13. A record 44.95 million Americans are expected to hit the road during the five-day Memorial Day weekend, including more than 39 million by car.
