When serious accidents occur, time is of the essence. The Lincoln Fire and Rescue Department is implementing a new program to try to make the most of it.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue is partnering with the Nebraska Community Blood Bank to launch a pre-hospital blood transfusion program, which will use hand-operated rapid fluid infusers. It will give first responders the ability to carry blood with them.
