Sakinah Kanunde signs a commitment to a career in education. Kanunde plans to attend UNO and become a teacher in the Omaha Public Schools.Â
Lauren Raduechel signs a commitment to join the Teacher Scholars Academy at the University of Nebraska at Omaha during a signing day ceremony at Omaha Burke High School. Raduechel plans to pursue a career in secondary special education.Â
Andrea Burton teaches an education pathway class at Omaha Burke High School. The three-year program offers students hands-on experience in the teaching field.
Andrea Burton gives cords denoting Educators Rising membership to Sakinah Kanunde after she signed a commitment to a career as a teacher. Kanunde decided she wants to become an upper elementary teacher after her experience in the education pathway at Burke High.Â
