Asked what footwear is best for exercise, LRHC physician assistant Roger Wells explained the importance of finding shoes that are "somewhat firm" in the middle and not bendable in the center. He said the shoe should mainly be firm on the back. Wells also said footwear should leave one thumb width between a person's toe and the tip of a shoe.
