COZAD - The Cozad girls track team took five out of six places in the shot put, while the boys team did the same thing in the discus Tuesday at the Cozad quadrangular.
Lady Haymaker Carlie Pinkelman claimed first with 38'11.5 in the shot put, while Carly Henry and Andee Bubak followed with 37'.25 and 32' respectively.
Matt Henry led the Haymakers with wins in the discus (144') and shot put (47'11). Kyle Cardenas placed second in the discus (143'4) and third in the shot put (45'10). Chance Armstead grabbed silver in the discus (122'3.

In the girls discus, Carly Henry placed first (122'11), followed by Shacari Canas (115'2) and Courtney Anthony (100'1). Andee Buback came in fourth (97'1).
Cozad, Gothenburg JV, Callaway and Brady competed in the quadrangular.
In other events, three Lady Haymakers grabbed gold. Emily Chrisinger dominated the long jump (31'4), Morgan Riley placed first in the 400-meter dash (1:03.3) and Megan Buss won in the 800-meter dash (2:45.6.
The girls' 400-meter relay team came in first with 56.07, followed by Brady with 57.8.
On the boys' side, the A and B 400-meter relay teams took first (45.99) and second place (49.85).
