After criticism from Gov. Pete Ricketts, UNL said it has previously approved and funded two events sponsored by Ratio Christi that brought speakers to campus. The group sued UNL this week after it was denied funding by a student committee earlier this year.
UNL plans to provide regular anti-racist teaching seminars, review its current hiring processes in the context of race and collaborate with Lincoln police to prevent poor treatment of minority community members off campus.
