Sean Combs personally wrote President Donald Trump seeking a pardon after receiving a 50-month prison sentence, according to reports. The New York Times reported that Trump, once friendly with Combs socially in New York, said he was not considering it. Trump suggested he might show the letter to reporters, while the contents and timing of Combs’ appeal remain unclear publicly. The outreach follows Combs’ conviction on two Mann Act counts for transporting sex workers across state lines. He was acquitted of broader trafficking and racketeering charges, but jurors found he funded travel for so-called ‘freak-off’ activities. Combs has appealed, arguing the judge overreached at sentencing, while the court cited extensive evidence of abuse presented during trial. The judge rejected claims that the conduct was consensual, saying power, control, and violence shaped the experiences described by multiple witnesses. Previous reports state that Combs pursued a pardon strategy, with allies contacting Trumpworld operatives and lobbyists nationwide after his arrest.
