A Pennsylvania man, Subramanyam Vedam, whose murder conviction was overturned after he served 43 years in prison hoped to walk free this month, but instead found himself in immigration custody.
PHILADELPHIA — After waiting more than four decades to clear his name in a friend's 1980 killing, Subramanyam Vedam was set to walk free from a Pennsylvania prison this month.
