Potato Salad The nation's favorite holiday salad, the potato salad, is in third place, skyrocketing 177%. 4. Baby Back Ribs The sauce-drenched meaty chops, baby back ribs, have seen a 170% increase in purchases. 5. Hot Dog Buns It seems the hot dog versus burger debate has been settled, Americans have bought 163% more buns for July 4 than the rest of the year.
