Investigator Mario Herrera died Sept. 7, 2020, after being shot almost two weeks prior. On a day where the city of Lincoln and Lancaster County honors officers killed in the line of duty, we have gathered photor from Herrera's funeral procession.

A motorcade for fallen officer Mario Herrera comes into downtown Lincoln on Monday afternoon. Herrera, who was shot Aug. 26 while helping serve a warrant, died earlier in day at an Omaha hospital. The procession traveled down I-80 from Omaha.
