Trump painted a picture of a “roaring” economy, even as polls show many Americans remain anxious. He also lashed out at Democrats and defended tariffs in a record-long speech.

An estimated 32.6 million people watched Trump's address this week, down 4 million from his speech last year and the smallest audience he's ever gotten for the annual message.
