A new study from the University of Pennsylvania has revealed surprising hidden side effects linked to popular GLP-1 weight loss drugs. Researchers analyzed over 400,000 Reddit posts from nearly 70,000 users and discovered symptoms that go beyond the commonly known issues like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and headaches. Some users reported unexpected reproductive changes, including irregular periods, heavy bleeding, and spotting between cycles. Others described unusual temperature-related symptoms like chills, feeling cold, hot flashes, and fever-like sensations. While these medications are widely used for weight loss and diabetes management, experts say these lesser-known effects are signals that need further investigation.
