Kristina Messersmith expressed her disapproval of the firing of Leslie Marsh, telling board members that they didn't consider what the reaction would be in the hospital and Lexington community.

"I think you guys really screwed up," Leah Dutro told the LRHC board. Dutro said it was a shame toward the board members for not giving Marsh an evaluation to show her where she was failing and show Marsh how she made board members upset.

Leonard Wilson said that he understand that not everyone would have been happy whether Marsh was fired or not, but he said he believes that more discussions among board members should have happened between late 2023 and early 2024.
Lexington Regional Health Center’s board voted 3-2 Tuesday night to fire CEO Leslie Marsh effective immediately. Chief Financial Officer Wade Eschenbrenner will act as interim CEO for LRHC.
