An 18-year-old employee was pricing clothing, then heard what she thought was a tire popping. “But I saw everyone panicking, and I was like, ‘That's probably not a bike tire.’”
The gunman who was killed after firing shots with an AR-15 at a west Omaha Target Tuesday purchased the rifle four days prior at a sporting goods store, officials said.
The trauma was evident among those returning. Some were still too shaken up to talk. “I don’t even want to be here,” said one young mother.
In a span of just 10 minutes, Joseph Jones entered a west Omaha Target store with an AR-15 style rifle, fired multiple shots and was killed by a responding officer.
