Although Ryan Kieselhorst and Shelby then-Gowen knew each other in high school, Ryan didn’t make his move until a few years after college. And he did it through social media.
His infamous Facebook message, which he took hours to compose, went along the lines of “Hey, I see you live in Omaha now.” Shelby said she decided to let him sweat for a day.

Creighton graduates Mackenzie Mills and Tom Gross met on Bumble. After a few weeks of talking, they had their first date on a Friday night at Jambo Cat in Dundee.
“We were supposed to have our first date on that Saturday, but we were too excited to finally meet,” Mackenzie said. “We still kept our planned Saturday night date, and the rest is history.”
Omahans Mackenzie and Tom Gross were married on Oct. 9, 2020.
Italian cookies and desserts, made with family recipes, came all the way from Pittsburgh, and accompanied chocolate chip cookies and macaroons made by Tom's mother.

Claire said her sister spotted Nic’s picture on Tinder.
“When she came across Nic’s profile, she said ‘Oh he’s cute!’ and immediately swiped right,” Claire said. “He messaged me that night and we’ve talked every day since.”
The florist was Of the Earth Floral Design for bride’s bouquet, ceremony pieces, boutonnieres, and head table. Costco Floral handled the bridesmaids’ bouquets and reception decor.
Autumne and Samuel Hovde at Zion Lutheran Church. “I always wanted a really small intimate ceremony,” she said. “I wanted to elope, but this is my version with still having family around.”
The ceremony was outside and didn't require too many decorations, but the bride was aiming for rustic, vintage and colorful. The couple brought in mums for the altar and lined the aisles with pumpkins.
The couple were married Oct. 30 and soon will be moving to Savannah, Georgia. Alberts' son, Chase, is a West Point graduate and a member of the U.S. Army.
