Lexington juniors top Imperial 15-5 Wednesday at home
The Lexington Legion Heartland Chevrolet juniors won their mid-week matchup 15-5 over Imperial Wednesday in Lexington.
Lexington's offense was led by Jared Hernandez.
Hernandez collected three hits, one RBI, one walk and scored four runs to aid in Lexington's run-rule win in four innings.
Mason Velasquez started on the mound for Lexington, giving up one hit and collecting two strikeouts.
Miguel Rodriguez and Hernandez earned walks to start the bottom of the first inning.
Drexton Edeal hit a single into left field that put Rodriguez across home.
Hernandez brought in Lexington's second run on a wild pitch during Velasquez's at bat.
