Community journalism meets a new kind of search
Joan von Kampen
Local journalism moves fast.
Stories, photos and videos are published on the Clipper-Herald's website, lexch.com, throughout the day. Over months and years, our site has grown into a deep archive of local reporting and community information, from crime trends and election coverage to festival listings, high school sports and community events.

We want readers to be able to quickly find the information they need, discover related reporting and revisit stories they may have missed. That's why we're introducing a new search feature for subscribers at lexch.com designed to help readers explore our local journalism more easily.
The feature allows subscribers to search topics, questions, people and issues and quickly find related local reporting and community coverage from our archives. Looking for trick-or-treat times, what's happening this weekend or the latest ahead of football season? The new feature can help connect you to that coverage faster.
You can also search by reporter to follow coverage from journalists whose work you read regularly.
Most importantly, local journalism comes first. The feature is built from the work of our newsroom and connects readers directly to stories produced by our journalists.
To try it, visit lexch.com and use the "What are you looking for?" search bar at the top of the page. Active subscribers must be logged in to access the feature.
The goal is simple: help readers quickly find the local news, community information and reporting that matters most to them.
For subscribers, it is another way to explore years of trusted local journalism and stay connected to the stories, issues and events shaping our community.
We hope you find this new feature useful and, as always, welcome your feedback.
Thank you for reading and supporting local journalism.
