Lexington juniors fall in doubleheader to Ogallala
The Lexington Heartland Chevrolet juniors lost 8-7 and 14-4 to Ogallala in a Friday doubleheader in Lexington.
GAME 1
Lexington jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning after Miguel Rodriguez scored during Drexton Edeal's ground out.
Ogallala scored the tying run after a passed ball.
Mason Velasquez gave up a walk that put Ogallala up 2-1 on a forced run scored.
Ogallala went up 3-1 after a single base hit put a run in.
Lexington closed out the first inning with a strikeout for Velasquez.
Liam Denker got on as the lead-off batter in the second inning after an Ogallala error.
Ogallala picked up back-to-back outs as Kaden Barkmeier hit a pop fly to third base and Denker was out advancing to second.
Ben Dones singled into left field and Rodriguez earned a walk to give Lexington bases loaded.
The top of the second ended after Dones was out advancing to third after Jared Hernandez's ground ball hit.

Velasquez and Denker earned walks to get the bases loaded.
