LEXINGTON — The Lexington Minutemaid wrestling team dominated their home dual win 66-13 Thursday over the Minden Whippets.
Minden earned the first points of the night as Ella Warburton won the 100-pound match by forfeit.
Lexington's Aylin Corzo tied the match at 6-6 after winning the 105-pound match by forfeit.
The Whippets took the lead 9-6 after Ashlyn Zerr defeated Lexington's Natalie Ramirez by a close 6-5 decision in the 110-pound dual.
Lexington's Gisselle Maravilla put the Maids back in control after winning the 115-pound match by forfeit.
In the 120-pound match, Lexington's Chastelyn Mendoza won by pin over McKinley Segelke to put the Maids up 18-9.
Minutemaid Gaby Diaz won by pin in the first period over Myka Petersen in the 125-pound match.
Jasmin Aguirre was down points in the 130-pound match before defeating Minden's Brinley Pohl by pin in the third period.
Lexington led 30-9 with seven matches left.
Lexington senior Delilah Solis put the Maids up 36-9 after winning the 135-pound match by forfeit.
Minden's Victoria Hansen defeated Valerie Cohetero by an 11-0 major decision in the 140-pound match.
At 145, Lexington's Rylee Church won by pin over Cristal Gonzalez to put the Maids up 42-13.
A pin right before the first period ended gave Lexington's Vania Guajardo the 155-pound win over Annika Soelberg.
Minden forfeited the final three matches at 170, 190 and 235.
Lexington's Hadlie Wolf won at 170 by forfeit.
McKenzie Furgison won the 190-pound match by forfeit to put Lexington up 60-13.
Lexington won 66-13 after senior Ashley Najera won the 235-pound by forfeit.
