S-E-M Mustangs dominate home win over Ansley-Litchfield Tuesday

SUMNER — On Tuesday, the S-E-M Mustangs defeated Ansley-Litchfield 65-30 in Sumner.
The Mustangs were led by senior Preston Beattie with a game-high of 21 points.
Beattie claimed 12 points in the first quarter with 10 straight.
Braxton Line kicked off the night with a 3-0 before Beattie's 10 point run to put S-E-M up 13-2.
Line hit a pair of free throws to extend the Mustangs' lead to 11.
Isaac O'Neill scored 2 of the Mustangs' final 3 baskets of the first quarter.
S-E-M led 21-6 going into the second quarter.
Carlos Mazariegos kicked off the second with a 3 before the Spartans went on a 5-0 run.
Chance Daake hit back-to-back 3s to put the Mustangs up 30-14.
The Mustangs went up 37-16 after a basket by Beattie.
Spartan Landon Schulte knocked down a 3 right before the half to pull Ansley-Litchfield behind 39-21.
S-E-M went up 20 after Beattie scored the first basket of the second half.
After a basket by Daake, S-E-M led 43-22 halfway through the third quarter.
A 3 by Daake put the Mustangs up 50-24.
Right before the buzzer, Daake hit a second 3 to give the Mustangs a 54-26 lead.
S-E-M held the Spartans to 4 points in the fourth while putting up 11.
Beattie went 3 for 4 at the free throw line early in the fourth quarter, putting S-E-M up 59-26.
The Mustangs led by 36 after a 3 by Colten Schreiner.
S-E-M won 65-30.
S-E-M lost 53-37 to Amherst Thursday in Amherst.
The Mustangs will host the Fort Kearny Conference quarterfinal Tuesday, Feb. 3 against Ansley-Litchfield at 7:30 p.m. in Sumner.

Daake finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.
O'Neill had 9 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
Line added 5 points and had 4 rebounds.
Quincy Potter and Schreiner had 1 block each.

O'Neill had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 1 assist.
Caden Williams had 8 points and 2 rebounds.
Beattie finished with 7 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal.
Daake had 6 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 4 blocks.
