Lexington girls tennis wins North Platte doubles invite
NORTH PLATTE — The Lexington Minutemaid tennis team brought home first place as a team Friday at the North Platte Doubles Invite.
McCook finished as the runners-up.
NO. 1 TEAM
Kennedy Cetak and Sydney Reutlinger-Maravilla went undefeated to take first.
- Round 1 - won 8-1 over Hershey
- Round 3 - won 8-2 over North Platte
- Round 4 - won 8-2 over Adams Central
- Round 5 - won 8-1 over Gering
- Championship - won 8-4 over McCook
NO. 2 TEAM
Millie Pepplitsch and Josslyn Mins went undefeated to earn first place.
- Round 1 - won 8-1 over Hershey
- Round 3 - won 8-0 over North Platte
- Round 4 - won 8-2 over Adams Central
- Round 5 - won 8-4 over Gering
- Championship - won 8-1 over Ogallala
NO. 3 TEAM
Atley Harris and Jovie Worthing went undefeated for first place.
- Round 1 - won 8-1 over Hershey
- Round 3 - won 8-2 over North Platte
- Round 4 - won 8-2 over Adams Central
- Round 5 - won 8-1 over Gering
- Championship - won 8-3 over Ogallala

Sophia Burns and Jasmin Aguirre finished in sixth place.

- Crossover round - lost 8-2 to Scottsbluff
Lexington travels to McCook for a dual at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 24.

The lady Swedes finished in sixth as a team in a field of 10.

Lindly Anderson and Grace Evert earned fourth place after going 3-2.

- Won 8-4 over Scottsbluff's Shae Gribble and Elliot Selzer
- Lost 8-6 to Adams Central's Isabel DeJonge and Yarethzi Lom
