KEARNEY — Kearney police have released a picture of a car they believe may be involved, or have information, in last week's robbery at Taco John's in Kearney.

The video surveillance shows a newer model white Ford Mustang with either a black or blue stripe down the middle leaving the area around the same time as the robbery.

At 11:30 p.m. on May 27 an unknown male dressed all in black entered through an unlocked back door at the back of Taco John's at 419 East 25th St. The man brandished a handgun inside the business, asked three employees working at the time where the money was, and took a small amount of cash from the front register before leaving.

The suspect is described at being between 5-feet-8 and 5-feet-10 inches tall with a slender build.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the car is asked to contact Kearney police investigator Doug McCarty at 308-233-5260 or Crimestoppers at 237-3424.
