JOHNSON LAKE - Lexington hosted the Dawson County Golf Invite this season, and Cozad took the lead at the triangular. taking first place with a team score of 335 while Gothenburg took second place with 367 and Lexington took third with 398.
Adam and Paul Cole of Cozad took the top two spots as individuals, Adam Cole scoring 76 while Paul scored 84 points for his 18 holes. Dillon Geiser added just 85 points to the Haymaker’s effort for fourth place individually and, with 90 strokes on the day, Brady Davis took the fourth spot for the Cozad boys, fifth as an individual.
Camden Wellmann led the Minutemen in the Dawson County Invite on Thursday. Wellmann’s 91 strokes on 18 holes earned seventh place overall as an individual. Will Luther backed Wellmann with a final score of 98 on the day for 13th place, individually. Michael Green took 18th out of 24 for Lexington’s third scoring position with 104. On Green’s heels, Ethan Mins shot 105 at the invite for Lexington’s final scoring golfer. As an individual Mins took 19th out of 24 golfers at the Dawson County Golf Invite.
