Clarice E. Kleinknecht of Callaway died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Kearney Regional Medical Center at the age of 75.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dean Haidle officiating. Inurnment will follow at Cozad Cemetery.
Those wishing to sign the memorial book may do so on Monday from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. at Berryman Funeral Home.
She was born on May 29, 1943, in Lexington to Charles T. and Myrtle K. (Fedderson) Wood. One of 11 children, Clarice grew up helping her family on the farm. She graduated from Elm Creek High School in 1961. She married her sweetheart, Fritz Kleinknecht on Oct. 22, 1961.
Clarice was a house wife and enjoyed taking care of her husband and their four children. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with friends, and puzzles.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Fritz Kleinknecht; her four children Clayton (Kanda) Kleinknecht of Gothenburg, Kevin Kleinknecht of Callaway, Lisa Lutz of Callaway and Kurt (Liisa) Kleinknecht of Piedmont, Okla.; and three siblings, Gary (Marty) Wood of Cheyenne, Wyo., Donna Stack of Lake Havasu, Ariz., and Rodney (Sandy) Wood of Lexington; and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Wood of Wichita, Kan. Clarice is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents; siblings, Lester Wood, Norma Burkey, Kenneth Wood, Audrey Lammert, Alan Wood, Charles Wood, Joyce Stack, and an infant brother, Calvin.
Memorials may be sent to the family in her name for later designation.
