EUSTIS — The Annual Wurst Tag event was held on Saturday, June 8 in Eustis.

The event celebrates the German heritage of the area and the community. Located in Frontier County, Eustis was got its start in 1886 after the railroad was built through the area, it was later incorporated as a village in 1888. The town is named for Percy Sprague Eustis, a railway official.

The Wurst Tag event was founded in June 1980 and features outdoor musical preformances. This year special guests included Blackjack, Kyle Park. The headliner was the band Blackhawk.

Weather interrupted the proceedings by an hour, but bands were able to finish playing.
