LEXINGTON — The pickup’s horn was still blaring as the result of a three vehicle accident on Cattleman’s Dr.  which sent one to the hospital.

On Thursday, June 27 around 2:56 p.m. the Lexington Volunteer Fire Department and Priority Medical Transport were dispatched to Cattlman’s Dr. and the entrance to the strip mall along the road.

The Lexington Police Department was already on scene and controlling traffic around the accident. Involved in the accident was a maroon Chevy Impala, a red Ford F-150 and a silver Chevy Sonic.

The Impala had suffered heavy right end damage and had come to rest perpendicular to Cattleman’s Dr. facing the entrance to the strip mall. The F-150 was missing it’s front right wheel and had suffered right side damage and had come to rest slightly in front of the Impala. The Sonic suffered minor front end damage and appeared to have been waiting to pull out onto Cattleman’s Dr.

The LVFD arrived on scene with one ambulance and one utility rig. Priority Medical arrived with one ambulance.

LVFD Fire Chief Dahlas Holbein said an occupant of the Impala was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Lexington Police officer Kareem McDougall said the accident was still under investigation, he was reconstructing how the three vehicles came together in the collision.
