NSP Charger

OMAHA  — Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) arrested a Waterloo man this morning following an incident at the NSP office in Omaha.

At approximately 8:00 a.m. today, NSP dispatchers at the Troop A office noticed a male subject checking doors and attempting to gain access to the building at 4411 S. 108th Street. The subject then encountered an NSP investigator in the parking lot, but fled to a vehicle upon realizing the woman to whom he was speaking is an investigator.

A uniformed trooper then contacted him as the subject was in his truck. The subject appeared to be under the influence of drugs. Another trooper, a Drug Recognition Expert, performed an evaluation on the subject and determined the subject was under the influence of drugs.

The suspect, David Maslo, 49, of Waterloo, was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs (3rd offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in Douglas County Jail.
