NSP Rolls into Kearney Cruise Nite

Kearney - As the classic, muscle, and showcase cars roll into Kearney for another Cruise Nite, Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) will be working to keep roads safe by patrolling for drunk drivers.

“Kearney Cruise Nite brings thousands of people to Kearney every year,” said Captain Russ Lewis, Commander of Troop C. “Our troopers will be working hard so that participants and spectators are able to make it around town safely.”

The enforcement runs Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20. Troopers will perform high-visibility patrols and DUI checkpoints in and around Kearney.

Buffalo County has been listed as a priority county by the Nebraska Department of Transportation – Highway Safety Office (NDOT-HSO). NSP’s enforcement operation is made possible thanks in part to a grant for $1,725.
