LEXINGTON — The Lexington Regional Health Center Auxiliary has a new set of officers and handed out more nursing scholarships during their meeting on Thursday, May 9 at Mac’s Creek Winery.

Scholarships were awarded to Glorisel Alcantar, Mulki Hussein and Lindsay Monter.

The new officers include Pat Samway, president; Bernita Brin, vice president; Pam Scott, recording secretary and Jo Brown, treasurer.

The Auxiliary also conducted their beef raffle at the meeting, the money raised from this goes to several Auxiliary projects including scholarships, hospital equipment, furniture, etc.

Chief Executive Officer at LRHC Jim Hain gave a brief update about the new billing system the hospital will be introducing. This system will go live in August, he said. The new system will make improvements on the last one, Hain said and should be more beneficial to the patients of LRHC.

The next meeting of the LRHC Axillary will be September 18.
