Senator Matt Williams proudly wears a Dawson County Hero Flight hat which was given to him by the Hero Flight committee. Williams has attended the send off for all six flights.
The sixth Dawson County Hero Flight crests the overpass, headed for I-80, escorted by the Lexington Police Department, Dawson County Sheriff's Office, Lexington Volunteer Fire Department and the Patriot Guard.
Each veteran going on the Dawson County Hero Flight was given a hat along with other items for the trip.
