Opening for Clerk/Secretary
There is an opening in the Dawson County Assessor’s
Office for an individual who will be a clerk/secretary for the
The position calls for a person to work 5 days a week,
8 a.m.-5 p.m. The position requires the ability to work well
with the public, ability to compose formal letters in word
processing and to be competent in math. A working knowledge of computer data entry using Windows, and understanding various forms used in the assessment process
would also be helpful. The person hired must be able to
discuss information on the records with property owners in
a professional manner. Training will be provided to familiarize the employee with computer programming connected
with the duties of the position. A working knowledge of
the real estate and appraisal fields would be helpful. Pay
is commensurate with experience and background Though
not a must, a college education is preferred.
