Just three days later, the Met Gala takes place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. 

Yup, part of “Prada 2” was filmed at a gala-like event and features cameos from fashion notables.

Even though the sequel took some 20 years to happen, it’s among the most highly anticipated films of 2026. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci reprise their roles from the first film.

Equally anticipated? The special popcorn container is shaped like a Prada purse. It’s already up to $100 on eBay and will likely sell out before the film opens.

The Met Gala, meanwhile, will have a “costume” theme and will focus on “Fashion is Art.” The museum’s costume and art collections will emphasize the body as a canvas. Chairing the event: Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and Anna Wintour, the longtime Vogue editor.

The gala, however, won’t be televised, but in the past, arrivals have been content for the E! Channel and YouTube. More than likely, someone from “Prada 2” will be in the mix.

Expect bizarre looks and a host of hot names.
