Child Find is a required and continuous process of public awareness activities, screening and evaluation designed to locate, identify, and refer as early as possible all children with disabilities between the ages of birth and twentyone. Children and youth who are suspected of being in need of an Early Intervention program, Preschool Special Education services, or school-aged Special Education services should be referred to Lexington Public Schools. To receive an Early Intervention Program or Special Education Program, children between the ages of birth and 21 must meet eligibility guidelines according to Nebraska regulations.
