Desirae Albus and Jake Davis, both of Clarinda, Iowa, have announced their engagement to be married Oct. 20, 2012 in Lincoln.
Desirae Albus graduated from Lexington High School in 2004. She received a bachelor degree from Doane College in 2008 and in 2009 graduated from DMACC Mortuary Science School in Des Moines, Iowa. Desirae is currently a funeral director at Walter-Merrick Funeral Home in Clarinda and Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca, Iowa.
Desirae is the daughter of Nick and Delpha Albus of Lexington and the granddaughter of LeRoy Albus of West Point, the late Sharon Albus and the late Earl and Alice Henery.
Jake Davis graduated from Clarinda High School in 1998. He received a bachelor degree from Northeastern State University of Tahlequah, Okla., in 2009. Jake served Active Duty Service in the United States Army from 2002 to 2006 including a tour of duty in Iraq as a medic. He is currently studying at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich., in the physician’s assistant program.
Jake is the son of Mike and Jean Eighmy of New Market, Iowa and Randy and Becky Davis of Clarinda. He is the grandson of Lorrain Eighmy of New Market, Mary Davis of Clarinda and LeRoy Hartstack of Clarinda.
