LEXINGTON – Law enforcement officials arrested another five Dawson County residents in conjunction with a drug sting stemming from Tuesday, Feb. 22.
The five individuals arrested were:
Javier Ramirez-Zamora, 22, Lexington
Anselmo J. Ortiz, 24, Cozad
Orlando A. Roman, 18, Lexington
Eric L. Stroud, 45, Lexington
Brianna M.K. Dewolf, 23, Lexington
According to a press release from the Nebraska State Patrol. in a joint operation involving members of the Cooperative Operation for Drug Enforcement (CODE) Task Force, 16 people were arrested including the five in Dawson County.
The undercover investigation began in December of 2009 when the arrested individuals allegedly sold controlled substances including cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine to undercover investigators.
This most recent round of drug busts came during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The CODE Task Force members involved in the operation included the Nebraska State Patrol, Lexington, North Platte and Ogallala Police Departments, Dawson and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Offices along with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Department of Homeland Security.
Sixteen arrest warrants were issued for distribution of controlled substances in Cozad, Lexington, Lincoln, North Platte, Ogallala and York.
