COZAD – At approximately 6:13 p.m. Sunday, the Cozad Police Department and Cozad Medical Rescue Unit responded to a car/pedestrian accident and the intersection of U.S. Highway 30 and Avenue F.
According to police reports, Camdyn Trew, 4, of Eustis, entered onto Hwy. 30 as a car was traveling westbound.
The driver of the vehicle, whose name has not been released, was unable to stop in time and hit Trew.
Trew was pronounced dead at Cozad Hospital after he was taken there by the rescue unit.
A bank account has been set up at First Bank and Trust in Cozad to help Trew’s family as they mourn the loss of their child.
